SACRED SUNDAY—Yoga Flow & Kirtan

Second Sunday of Every Month
10-11am

Gather the second Sunday of each month to honor our connection as a community in this devotional practice of flowing yoga poses and call-and-response kirtan singing.

In the yoga tradition, Ishvara Pranidhana is the observance of surrendering to a divine force or power greater than our own ego or intellect. When we surrender to the flowing (vinyasa) yoga practice it becomes a moving meditation that clears the mind and fosters deep presence within. It is then with this grounded presence, deeper knowing and spiritual connection that we join together in a musical experience that is both meditative and uplifting.

DRUM MAKING—Old-Style Workshop

Seasonal Offering

Learn to make your own 15" deer hide frame drum in a guided workshop. You'll leave with a handcrafted instrument that is both a beautiful work of art and a meaningful companion for meditation, ceremony, music, and personal practice.

The method I teach was passed down to my mother by elder drum maker Art Runningbear, the seventh drum maker in his lineage. In 2013, he instructed my mother, Dianne Hawhee, to teach me the art of drum making and gifted me my first maple frame and deer hide. Since 2021, I have been honored to offer both private and group drum-making workshops.

What's Included:

All materials to make 1 x 15" maple frame deer hide drum and beater
